Sweedish Massage

Swedish massage is based on the western concepts of anatomy and physiology as opposed to energy work. It can be slow and gentle, or vigorous and bracing. Swedish massage involves five classification strokes called Effleurage, Tapotement, Vibration, Friction and Petrissage. This technique works on the soft tissue of the entire body in order to induce a state of relaxation and well-being.

It relaxes muscles by increasing the oxygen flow in the blood and releasing toxins from muscles. It also stretches ligaments and tendons, stimulates the skin and soothes the nervous system.

Swedish massage is the most common type of massage at Mee’s south west London treatment rooms. It is a wonderful way to pamper yourself, but it is also an important and effective type of therapy to support good health and to manage a variety of health conditions for many people.
